William Stansell Award Winner 2023

We are delighted to have won a William Stansell award for our Autobarn in Nunney, Somerset

What the judges said:

Adhering to an exceptionally exacting and precise brief has resulted in a beautifully-executed new build, exemplifying the skill and craftsmanship of those working with traditional materials in the 21st century. Every snapshot of the build offers an insight into the consideration given to each detail.

An outstanding element is the approach to the building from the garden of the adjacent Grade II listed house and the eventual reveal of the new building, its siting and sizing allowing it to be an outstanding but discrete addition to the property.

The Awards are made biennially and celebrate the contribution that craftsmanship and design make in the care and enhancement of the historic fabric of Somerset. For more information about the award, following this link.
