At the heart of the project is a new entrance rotunda that dramatically connects the house to the sea and reconsiders the relationship between the house and garden.
The project also includes the construction of a new two bedroom guest house, taking inspiration from the local vernacular.
We collaborated with landscape designer Todd Longstaffe-Gowan and Interior designer Penny Morrison, and imported specialist metalwork and stonework from England and Italy, coordinating the work closely with the local team.
The project was the office’s largest and most complex project to date. The intense programme made it necessary to design and construct simultaneously, completing the project at the end of 2021.
